Refund & Cancellation Policy

Every shade we sell is custom-made for your opening, so our policy is built around one principle: you can back out any time before we start building, and nothing is built until you've approved the measured dimensions.

Before your free measure

Cancel for any reason before your free on-site measure visit and you receive a full refund to your original payment method.

After the measure, before production

After your measure visit, you approve the final dimensions before anything is fabricated. Cancel at any point before production begins and you receive a full refund.

Measured-size price adjustments

  • Your online price is locked at order and never increases without your approval.
  • Small differences between your estimated size and the measured size are absorbed by us at no charge.
  • If the measured size meaningfully changes the price, we show you the adjusted amount first: if it's lower, we refund the difference automatically; if it's higher, we only proceed after you approve and pay the difference — or you may cancel for a full refund.

Once production begins

Your shade is built to your specific measurements and cannot be restocked, so orders are non-refundable once fabrication starts — except as covered by warranty below, or where we fail to deliver and install what you ordered.

Warranty

Fabric is warranted for 10 years, motors for 3 years, and hardware for the lifetime of the shade. Warranty coverage transfers to the next homeowner. Warranty claims are repaired or replaced at our cost.

How to cancel or claim

To cancel an order, email orders@patioshadestore.com with your order number (e.g. PSS-1001). For warranty claims, email support@patioshadestore.com. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days via our payment processor, Stripe.
